Andreas Kyriacou: Managing
Director
Andreas has over 18 years’ offshore oil and gas
experience and four years’ research related experience.
He has spent most of his career in corporate positions
within major contractors Saipem and Brown and Root,
working as Engineering Manager, Commercial Manager and
Business Development Manager within the field of construction
of offshore pipelines and more recently in floating
LNG facilities. Andreas joined KW in the summer of 2006
and is now Managing Director of the group.
Khaled Kamhawi: Commercial
Director
(and Soils Specialist)
Khaled has over 17 years’ offshore pipelines engineering,
design and consulting experience and five years’
research related experience. He has worked within the
engineering groups of major contractors such as EMC
(Saipem/Brown and Root) and Pirelli and engineering
houses such as JP Kenny and Mentor. His technical expertise
lies in subsea geotechnics and pipe-soil interaction,
an area that he further developed during his time at
SAGE Engineering before eventually setting up KW Ltd
in 1999. Khaled now acts as the Commercial Director
and also oversees specialist work related to geotechnics
as applied to foundation design pipe burial and trenching.
Kevin Williams: Technical
Director (Chief Engineer)
Kevin has over 23 years’ offshore pipelines engineering,
design and consulting experience and three years’
research related experience. He has worked in senior
technical and operations positions within JP Kenny,
Advanced Mechanics and Engineering (AME) and Andrew
Palmer Associates (APA) before joining KW in 2000 where
he is the group Technical Director and Chief Engineer.
Kevin has been involved in review and development of
design codes and guidelines and is often called to act
in peer review and audit capacity and as a technical
authority for BP on specialist pipelines projects.
Carl Sykes: General
Manager of Cairo Office
(and Head of Deepwater)
Carl has over 20 years’ offshore oil and gas experience.
He has worked in senior technical positions within JP
Kenny, Cameron and for the last 15 years at Saipem before
joining KW in early 2007 where he is now the General
Manager of the Cairo Branch. His technical expertise
lies in deepwater offshore developments, specifically
West Africa and for the last seven years has held key
technical management positions for large offshore EPCI
Projects, the last being Engineering Manager for the
$1bn Total Akpo Field Development Project.
Fartein Thorkildsen:
General Manager of Aberdeen Office
(and Head of Training)
Fartein has over 17 years’ offshore oil and gas
experience. He has held various positions within pipeline,
riser and subsea engineering, verification and research
in DNV and has worked at both engineer and management
level. Fartein joined KW in 2007 and is now General
Manager of KW’s Aberdeen Office and is charged
with development of training programs for the group.
He has specific expertise in design standards, code
development and application.
Dave Bennett: Head
of Structural Design
(and QHSE Manager)
Dave has over 20 years’ experience in the offshore
and subsea engineering sector, working for major engineering
companies such as John Brown Engineers, Brown and Root
Vickers, Kvaerner Oilfield Products and more recently
in Mentor and Genesis Oil and Gas before moving to KW
in 2003. He is KW’s Corporate QHSE Manager and
is also one of our senior project managers. His expertise
lies in detailed design of subsea structures and is
discipline Head of our Structures design group.
Mehrdad Mansour: General Manager of London Office
(and Head of Pipelines)
Mehrdad has 13 years’ experience in offshore pipelines
design and six years’ research related experience.
He has held Lead
design roles with JP Kenny and Intec, where he worked
on the detailed design of major subsea shallow and deepwater
field developments. He joined KW in 2004 as one of our
senior project managers and also acts as discipline
Head of our Pipelines design group.
